Our health is primarily envy of our lifestyle: some experts say that the share of this factor is more than 75%.
We all know what should not be done so as not to expose our health to unnecessary and unnecessary risks: do not smoke, do not abuse alcohol, do not get carried away with too fatty foods and “empty” calories …
But do we know exactly about all the dangers? We have compiled five everyday habits that almost everyone indulges in and which are just as capable of killing us as smoking, alcohol or unhealthy eating habits.
Passive lifestyle
Perhaps the worst thing you can do for your health is to spend too much time sitting down, whether at the table or in the car.
As Canadian researchers note, it is a sedentary lifestyle that initiates two-thirds of cases of intestinal cancer, as well as a significant portion of cases of malignant tumors of the breast, lungs, and prostate gland.
Be sure to take small breaks every hour in your work at the gym, do not forget about evening walks and morning exercises!
Too much meat and cheese.
Animal protein is rich in IGF-1, a hormone that can promote the growth of cancer cells. As researchers at the University of Southern California found,
middle-aged people, whose diet includes many foods high in animal proteins, are four times more likely to die from cancer.
Add more plant-based proteins to your diet, such as legumes or nuts. This will allow you to compensate for the body’s need for protein and at the same time protect against cancer.
Using a gas stove during cooking
If you are used to cooking on a gas stove, then every day your body receives an additional dose of carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and formaldehyde – the same substances that smokers get. Fortunately, this problem can be dealt with in a rather simple way by simply installing a hood.
The habit of artificial tanning
Despite all the studies, the doctor’s comments and warnings, the popularity of tanning, including artificial tanning, from the solarium is still high. And even the fact that regular trips to the solarium annually provoke twice as many cases of skin cancer than smoking – lung cancer does not stop those who like darker and hotter.
Meanwhile, if you seriously care about your health, the first thing to do is how to protect your skin from ultraviolet radiation.
Refusal from a sunbed, constant use of creams and other cosmetics with SPF should become your daily routine.
Lack of sleep
Even if you don’t smoke, completely give up alcohol, exercise regularly and eat well, lack of sleep easily erases all these wonderful habits and raises the risk of developing cancer to a level that threatens a smoker with the experience of “dropping” a pack of cigarettes without a filter in day.
This is not a joke – recent studies have confirmed that persistent sleep deficiency is truly fatal.
At least eight hours in a cool dark room, with the normal course of all phases of sleep. And don’t settle for less!
